ACME Knows Color Code

Acme set the color code standard in 1962 when we invented Kroma Kode, the strip label color code system. Since then, Acme has been a pioneer in North America in the development and successful installations of many of the largest color code systems.

The development of Acme color code systems has come to include many different types of numeric, alphabetic and multi-classification color code systems.

Acme Visible markets our color coded systems with an objective of being a total supplier: color code systems, peripheral supplies and a variety of filing units used for the storage and retrieval of records in file-room and library.

Allow us to demonstrate the benefits of our color coded systems or provide a quote on any other color code system you may be using. We can match any filing system supplies you may already be using.

ABOUT ACME COLOR CODE IN THIS WEBSITE GUIDE

These labels are for self-application in your office environment. Labels come in either roll form from a dispenser or sheet form kept in a recipe box. Most Acme file folders have the guidelines imprinted on them for label application to guarantee proper alignment of labels on the shelf. Your Acme systems representative will be happy to assist you on how to best set up the labels on your files.

WHY COLOR CODE YOUR FILES?

Acme Visible color code systems allow you to replace time-consuming, tedious and costly manual fingering searches by a “glance” check, requiring only seconds to scan thousands of folders for misfiles. Acme’s color code systems virtually eliminate misfiles because colors are interpreted instantly and misfiles are detected immediately so retrieval functions become more efficient.

The Acme color coding system known as Kroma Kode set the industry standard some 50 years ago. It uses the colors of the rainbow on the identifying tab of a folder. This allows for faster, more accurate file retrieval, tracking and return. Whether you choose an alphabetic or numeric Kroma Kode system, when placed in our open system shelving or cabinets, the color code labels create distinctive patterns that clearly indicate each file’s correct position. Misfiles are a thing of the past with Kroma Kode and, with Acme’s charge-out systems, file tracking has never been easier.

ACME STRIP LABELS

Acme strip labels are custom-made to help in file conversions, or where consecutive numbering is being used. The pressure sensitive one-piece label guarantees positioning and speed in application. As well, prefix and year labels are available on strip labels to further customize your system.

Acme Visible’s strip labeling system guarantees accurate alignment of Color Code labels which is critical in an efficient system. It also eliminates much of the labor required to both initiate and maintain your filing system. Strip labels are available in all popular coding systems, including both numeric and alphabetic formats and can incorporate bar codes and text. Guideline Labels available for all series.
